Healthway Compounding Pharmacy was the first PCAB (Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board) accredited compounding pharmacy in Michigan. This states that Healthway is inspected by an independent organization that requires compliance with a list of standards. These standards ensure that our formulations are prepared using the highest quality ingredients, by competent technicians in a dedicated and appropriate space. For our patients it means that you can be assured that your medication is exactly what the provider ordered!

Topical creams and gels can be formulated to provide high local concentrations to application site. Many times topical pain options reduce adverse drug effects and drug-drug interactions.

Administering medications to animals is not always easy. We can prepare medications in species-appealing flavored dosage forms that animals will devour. Unlike some commercial medications, we can create medications in ideal size, strength and dosage form for each animal.

Compounding allows your healthcare team to meet your special needs. If you have difficulties with commercially available medication, we can custom-prepare medications in a variety of unique dosage forms, including: capsules, oral liquids, troches, lollipops, topical creams/gels, suppositories, ear drops, nasal sprays and more!

Many patients experience intolerances to gluten, lactose, coloring agents, or any of a number of other ingredients found in commercially-available medications. Our team can prepare a medication without problem-causing excipients to improve medication compliance.
